I've redone the poll, compiling some of the entries and adding a few essential ones that I've left out before. But in order to do so I had to get rid of the old one. I've also made some changes to the background as you can see. It's being rather a pain, but we'll see where I can get with it.
Just in case, you're wondering why there's a gray box around the poll, it's because Blogger insists on the text color being black when the background is black as well. Blogger also doesn't offer much in the ways of editing it either.

I'd say that version 2 of your poll is better designed, so much so that I didn't vote "other" this time around. It will be interesting to see the final results, but already, the top two choices seem to be far in the lead of the rest.
Of course, the poll results will not be representative of gamers in general. This captures the preferences of NWN2 players in particular, many of whom could care less for an MMO (present company included). Also, the quality of the story tends to be very high in the preferences of NWN2 players, but there are many other gamers outside the RPG circuit for whom in-game stories are not important at all. Be that as it may, this is a good poll and a very interesting one at that.

I voted: gameplay, innovation, story and multiplayer.
I like to play a game that is different to another. Therefore, gameplay and innovation to offer a different experience are important. Then, of course, nobody wants that unless there happens to be a good (or at least reasonable) story to play the game in. And finally, I like to shre the experience with friends, meaning MP is also very important. I know that adds an extra layer of difficulty in its making (I have certainly found that anyway), but I know I prioritise sharable games over single game experiences.
By the wya, I think the view of the poll is fine. The grey actually makes it stand out and easier to see. :)
Lance.
